How we scored treats
Size, smell, pocket mess, and whether you can name the calories. We did not run a feeding trial. Complete-and-balanced dinner still lives on puppy food and the clinic bag.
Calories are the product
A common rule of thumb is that treats stay a small slice of the day — often talked about as under 10%. That is a conversation with the veterinarian, not a law we invented. Soft stool, weight creep, and a slow-feeder dinner that vanished are the tells.
