A pulling dog is a physics problem plus a training debt. The job of this ranking is: change leverage on a dog that already tows you, with hardware that does not cheese-grate armpits, while you learn the walk. It is not a shock plan and not a car harness.

2 Hounds Design Freedom No-Pull
Freedom is the puller’s harness because the front loop and the two-point leash are the product. It looks slightly medical. That is fine. Fit twice in the first week. Replacement straps exist when they chew a chest plate.

PetSafe Easy Walk
Easy Walk is the classic cheap front-clip. It works when it fits. It is not pretty. Front strap across the chest, not the throat. Puppy harnesses if they are still growing every three weeks.

- A first front-clip on a budget while you book a trainer

A 6-foot leash with a traffic handle (honorable)
A harness without a short, dead leash is a suggestion. Traffic handle for curbs. No 16-foot party. Poop bags on the same leash so you are not juggling.

How we scored puller harnesses
Front-clip honesty, hardware under a lean, armpit comfort, and size runs that include 80-pound dogs. Colorways scored zero. We did not certify manners.
The harness is not the trainer
Pay walking with you. Treats that fit a pocket. U-turns beat a debate at the squirrel. The how-to is stop pulling. A puppy that pulls is still a puppy — shorter sessions.
Pain makes pullers worse and “stubborn.” A senior that suddenly tows may be sore. Not a veterinarian. Insurance does not buy you a trainer in most policies.
