A messy-eater bowl is a splash wall and a reservoir, not a puzzle. The job is: kibble and water stay in a footprint you can mop, the beard does not paint the kickboard, and you still wash the steel. Pace is a different leak — that is slow feeders.

High-wall stainless / no-tip dishes
A deep stainless bucket-shape keeps water in a beard’s splash zone. Pioneer Pet and similar metal dishes wipe. Wide enough for whiskers if they care; deep enough that a Lab cannot tidal-wave the room in one paw.
