Is Furbo worth it in 2026?

A Furbo is worth it when the dog is why you want a camera, you will use barking alerts, you might toss a treat, and you will fund the Smart Home / cloud extras after the unboxing.

Verdict

Worth it: dog households that will open bark alerts and an occasional toss, and will point a 360 at the crate and the door.

Not worth it: food-guarders; people who wanted Petcube Play; anyone who will cancel the plan; a hallway-cam job.

Treat size is specified for a reason. Jams are your vacuum’s problem.

What you are buying

A dog-shaped webcam, an app, barking alerts, and a treat hopper on most SKUs. Wide / 360 reduces the “wrong couch” problem. It is not a diagnosis when they pace at 2 a.m. — that is a clinic or a fireworks plan.

Two-way audio can settle or wind them up. Your voice from a meeting is not a walk.

A camera is not Fi. Empty living room means they left.

Hardware ~$130–$250. Cloud extras are the second price. Year-one math is both. Year two is the plan.

Petcube lands in a similar hardware band. Wyze does not. Rank the alerts you will keep, not the cartoon bone.
