An anxious-cat carrier is a hard-sided box that lives out, smells like home, and opens from the top so you are not stuffing a banana into a pillowcase. The job is: they choose it for naps before the vet, you can lift a freeze without a wrestling match, and the latch survives a hallway.

A lined hard carrier can feel less like a toolbox. Wash the liner. The shell still needs a latch. Pair with a window perch life so the carrier is not their only “box.”
